All-star lineup to celebrate music of Jimi Hendrix at Syracuse concert

An all-star lineup of musicians is coming to Syracuse to celebrate the music and legacy of Jimi Hendrix.
Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Marcus King, Eric Johnson and Devon Allman will headline “Experience Hendrix” on March 25, 2025, at the Landmark Theatre. The show will begin at 8 p.m. with Noah Hunt, Ally Venable, Chuck Campbell & Calvin Cooke of the Slide Brothers, and more performers.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Prices have not been announced.
The show will be a tribute to Hendrix, widely regarded as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. The Woodstock legend influenced many of the tour’s performers and other artists with songs like “Purple Haze,” “Foxey Lady,” “Little Wing,” “Voodoo Child,” and his definitive cover of Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower.”
Shepherd is a Grammy-nominated blues guitarist who has released more than 10 albums and opened for rock greats like Van Halen, Aerosmith and The Rolling Stones.
King, who was nominated for Best Americana Album at the 2021 Grammys, has quickly become one of the most buzzworthy names in blues and Southern rock over the past decade.
Johnson, who’s previously performed on the Experience Hendrix tour, is an electric guitar wizard best known for his 1990 single, “Cliffs of Dover,” which won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.
Allman, the son of Allman Brothers Band legend Gregg Allman, has also earned acclaim for his work with Duane Betts (the son of Dickey Betts) in the Allman Betts Band and the Devon Allman Project.
Syracuse is the only Upstate New York stop on the “Experience Hendrix” tour, dubbed “Celebrate the Music & Legacy of Jimi Hendrix: The All-Star Concert Event of the Year.” Zakk Wylde will join Shepherd, King, Allman and Johnson at a March 28 performance at Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair on Long Island.
